Recap of the First Season of Jujutsu
Yuji Itadori is a student at a high school in Sendai who has an incredible amount of physical maturity for his age. Yuji’s grandfather imparts two valuable pieces of advice to his grandson as he lies on his deathbed: “Always help others,” and “Die with people around you.” Yuji became a host for a terrible Curse known as Ryomen Sukuna after his companions in the Occult Club unlocked a rotting finger talisman in order to protect Megumi Fushiguro and their other friends. Because of this, their school became the target of curses.
Because Sukuna is a malicious being, it is imperative that all sorcerers immediately eliminate him (and, by extension, Yuji). But when Megumi’s teacher Satoru Gojo saw that Yuji was still in control of his body, he brought him to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School and made a proposal to his superiors: postpone Yuji’s death sentence and let him train with Satoru until he ate all of Sukuna’s fingers and freed himself from the Curse.
