Yona of the Dawn Season 2: Cast, Plot, Release Date and Other Updates

Fans of the manga “Yona of the Dawn” by Mizuho Kusanagi, which was adapted into the anime series “Yona of the Dawn” (“Akatsuki no Yona”), have been speculating for a number of years as to whether or not the series, which has only aired one season thus far, will be picked up for a second season.

According to a tweet that she shared, the earthquakes that occurred in Kunamoto in 2016 appeared to temporarily derail the efforts that inventor Kusanagi was making, which did not help; however, that was five years ago.

The storyline for Yona of the Dawn season 2

The action of the show takes place in a made-up country that is heavily influenced by the cultures of China, Korea, and Japan.
The exhibit is a story of vengeance and redemption, and it commemorates the deeds of Yona, the sole princess of the Kingdom of Kouka.

Yona is seen to be leading a contented and healthy life as a queen in the Hiryuu Castle at the beginning of the episode. She is shielded from the dangers of the outside world by her father, the King of Kouka, and by Hak, a childhood friend who also serves as her bodyguard.

As a consequence of this, Yona’s world is turned upside down during the celebration of her sixteenth birthday, when her childhood friend and lover from back in the day, Su-Won, shows up to show respect for her.

Yona, frustrated by Su-approach, Won’s behaviour, decides to go to her father’s office and tell him that she has feelings for Su-Won. As a consequence of this, she experiences extreme levels of fear upon entering the room and finding Su-Won murdering her father in order to claim the throne.

Kouka now has access to electricity thanks to Su-Won, and Hak has arrived to save Yona from her impending death. The two travellers leave the citadel and make their way to the Village of Wind, which is Hak’s birthplace.

At the Village of Wind, Yona has a conversation with Hak’s grandfather, Son Mundok. During their conversation, Son Mundok recommends that Yona and Hak look for a minister named Ik-Su.

When they find the minister, he tells them about Kouka’s first emperor, Hiryuu, and the Four Dragon Warriors. The Kingdom of Kouka was quickly recognised by the latter.

The story inspires Yona and Hak to embark on an epic quest to find the Four Dragon Warriors’ descendants in order to preserve the story of Su-harsh Won’s rule and save the kingdom from collapse. Su’s Yun, Ik’s assistant, is accompanying them.
