New Trailer Hints at a Massive Showdown
The latest trailer for Stranger Things: Season 5, Volume 1 brings the Hawkins crew back together to face their most dangerous enemy yet — Vecna, the dark entity that nearly destroyed the town in Season 4.
Viewers get glimpses of Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and the rest of the team gearing up for what looks like an all-out war against interdimensional monsters emerging from the Rifts.
According to the official description, the season is set in the fall of 1987, with Hawkins now under military quarantine as the government continues its pursuit of Eleven. Meanwhile, Vecna’s disappearance leaves the group uncertain about what horrors lie ahead.

Co-creator Ross Duffer revealed the scale of the final season in a previous interview, saying:
“We spent a full year filming this season. By the end, we’d captured over 650 hours of footage. It’s like eight blockbuster movies.”

“It’s our most personal story. We’ve been making this show for almost 10 years — there was a lot of crying on set. Everyone put their hearts and souls into it.”

Netflix has released the full list of episode titles, offering clues to the storyline:
“The Crawl,” “The Vanishing of [censored],” “The Turnbow Trap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” “The Bridge,” and “The Rightside Up.”
The Duffers have also hinted at future spin-offs and new stories within the Stranger Things universe, assuring fans that the franchise will live on in new and exciting ways.
“It’s early to talk about them,” Matt said. “But anything with the Stranger Things name must have a reason to exist — and it has to be awesome.”
