The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India paid a tribute to late Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and teachers all over the country, on the occasion of ‘Teacher’s Day’.
The man behind the inspiration of Teacher’s day
The date of 5th September is celebrated as Teacher’s day, all over India, every citizen of the substantial country is familiar with the fact that this day also marks the birth anniversary of a simple man whose thoughts and thinking we’re too unique. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5th September 1888 in Thiruttani. He was a renowned Indian philosopher, academic, and statesman. He was a man with a great vision, the academically brilliant student had a desire to serve the country and to strengthen the roots of his motherland i.e India. His wider perspective added a lot to the formation of one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan played a vital and efficient role in introducing western philosophies into Indian society. He was an educated man and wanted to propagate the importance of education in every part of the country. He had a will to eradicate the social evils from the Indian society that took place during his times. The man with enormous wisdom served independent India as the First Vice President and then also as the second President. He was a man of knowledge, his abilities, creativity, and dedication helped in building up a strong personality that he was. He taught at various colleges, from the University of Mysore to the University of Calcutta. Dr. Radhakrishnan was nominated 16 times for Nobel Prize in Literature and another 11 times for Nobel Prize in Peace. The late President was awarded the most prestigious award of India which is the ‘Bharat Ratna’ – 1st degree of honor. A number of awards were given to the respected thinker in order to convey honor towards his enormous wisdom and contributions he made for the country.
On the occasion of Teacher’s day the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi paid a tribute to the man behind the inspiration of this day i.e Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, and to all the teachers across the country who put their heart and soul in the profession. As a gesture of respect towards Dr. Radhakrishnan and the teachers of the country, the PM made a tweet expressing his gratitude. He tweeted- ” We remain grateful to the hardworking teachers for their contributions towards shaping minds and building our nation. On Teachers Day, we express gratitude to our teachers for their remarkable efforts. We pay tributes to Dr. S Radhakrishnan on his Jayanti #OurTeachersOurHeroes”.
Respect shall be provided
As our respected PM mentioned, teachers are actually the real-life heroes who put all efforts in shaping the future of the present generation to ensure the development of the country. These young minds will build future India with their skills and the teachers are nurturing these minds. Such a magnificent contribution deserves a considerable amount of respect. Nowadays the students lack respect towards their teachers which is a shame for all, the parents can play a major role in teaching right etiquettes to their children. These dedicated souls shall be provided boundless regard for their amazing benefaction in our lives and towards the country.
