NEET 2020: Candidates begin arriving at centres to write NEET




The NEET Undergraduate 2020 will be on Sunday. The National Testing Agency will conduct the exam at 2-5 p.m. The exam will conduct under proper precautions. To practice social distancing various measures have taken. The NTA has increased the number of exam centers. Around 15 lakh candidates have registered for the exam. However, this exam will be a pen and paper. However, originally it was planned 2,546 exam center will be there. Though now they have been increased to 3,843. Also, candidates per room reduced from 24 to 12. There were various changes in the dates earlier. From May 3 to July 26 now finally on September 13. The candidates must report the center as per the time slot. The students are required to take admit cards with them. Also to follow the instructions written on the admit card.

It is mentioned on the card that the Candidates must were gloves and masks. They must bring the duly filled and unsigned self-declaration form. They are even required to bring a photo ID and a copy of the same photograph used during registration. Multiple checkpoints, sanitizers, and proper social distancing are being followed. Students have gathered near the examination center. Also, they are seen waiting for the exam.

NEET Exam pattern

There will be 180 multiple-choice questions. The questions are divided among Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Physics and chemistry include 45 questions. And biology includes 90 problems. The candidates are provided with a rough booklet. They are required to mark questions on the OMR sheet. The exam will cover both class 11 and class 12 syllabus. The question paper will be available in 11 languages. There will be a negative marking pattern. 1 mark deducted for the wrong answer and 4 marks for the correct answer. Within the time of 3 hours, 180 questions need to be completed.

Controversies

There are various controversies about this exam. There were various campaigns and many people were against it. However, the exam is conducting. But various political leaders got involved in this. Despite all the efforts of everyone, the students are coming to give the exam. A child committed suicide. And the political leads are considering it as a murder. Thus COVID pandemic has created a problem for everyone. Neither to postponed the exam is the option. Nor to conduct it.
