Vikings:Valhalla Series

In this seriesc: Valhalla, the events of Vikings is put in motion 100 years later. The beginning of the end of the Viking age brings even closer as the Kingdom of England stands high up against its Scandinavian attackers. Three lords demand to be the English throne, eventually transforming the future of England, following the death of King Edward the Confessor.

Presumed cast members of the new spin-off

In the series of Vikings: Valhalla, Leif Eriksson playing the role of Vidar Skardesson, Freydis Eriksdottir playing the role of Signe, and Harold Harada playing the role Kaden, the Son of a king of Denmark are some of the presumed cast members according to the Netflix website. Vidar was born and brought up in Iceland and Greenland respectively. In this spin-off, Vidar portrays a new kind of Viking who was brought up far from the Norse Mothership also without the knowledge of raiding. Soon the audience will see that even though he has no experience in raiding that doesn’t mean he is anything less than a Viking. Vidar is a fighter and a daredevil, who is mesmerized by unknown lands and is not afraid of the sea. When the audience will be introduced to him, he would have just sailed a small ship of Greenland across 2000 miles of the North Atlantic. Vigorous and faithful to his family, there are hints of problems with his dominating and opinionated father (Skardu), and he’s ready for a revolt. Like his sister Signe, Vidar has been brought up as a believer of Odin and “the old ways”, but unlike Signe, he is broad-minded.

How many episodes will the series of Vikings: Valhalla air?

There will be 24 episodes of Vikings: Valhalla series. Generally, Netflix commits to air between 8 to 13 episodes, but now they are considering the option of airing all the episodes. They have already declared that Vikings is going on a schedule that splits seasons in half, it can be expected that the first season of Vikings: Valhalla to do the same. This means there would be twelve episodes for Vikings: Valhalla season 1.
