Cleveland Indians Greg Allen Speaks On BLM Protest

Cleveland Indians player Greg Allen after his match on Wednesday which the team won against the Minnesota by 6-3 as Greg had wonderful catch. After the win in his interview in which he was wearing a T-shirt that was speaking more than the match which he played on the field. He answered to the reporters while wearing a T-shirt which says “END RACISM”.

As few months before the death of George Floyd had created the devastating impact all over the world for the matter of black lives, who was killed by the police officer in Minneapolis. The situation is still not improved, there are many more cases of the killing of black people. When Greg Allen was asked in his interview about the issue that the country is facing of the latest shoot of an unarmed Black man, Jacob Blake, Allen said “I definitely have hope, hope for our country, hope for the people even in today’s world, even in this current generation, that we have the ability to affect change,” he also stated that “It’s not something that can happen overnight. I can’t sit here and tell you that I have all the answers. I don’t think any one person can. I think it’s going to take a collective effort.”

These shooting have sparked a wave of protests in recent days, some of which have turned violent. These are for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor many more and now Blake. There were many NBA players who had postponed their matches due the worsening of the situation in the country. Brewers v/s Reds, Mariners v/s Padres had been postponed Allen said the protests are about working toward understanding, regardless of gender, race, creed, age, and any other type of predisposition.

“It’s really just understanding just that human, core level, the world that we live in,” Allen said.
We live in 21st century and still we are seeing such things which affect our lives in some or the other way. The place where we living and are fighting for the lives of black people, they have to face discrimination in every filed either their jobs or society. Let’s make world a happier place for them.
