Josh Cooley, the director of Transformers One, is already considering a follow-up. Given how popular the Robots in Disguise are, it makes sense. Naturally, they desired greater depth than the Michael Bay films, which is why Bumblebee and other films served as a kind of course correction.
This time, Paramount Pictures is taking a different approach by starting over. Optimus Prime and Megatron are introduced as brothers-in-arms in Transformers One before taking charge of their own armies.
