She portrays Isabella, a mysterious and endearing exchange student who becomes close friends with Megan (Sadie Stanley, The Goldbergs) and Luke (Griffin Gluck, American Vandal).

Newcomer Eloise Payet was reportedly cast as Isabella before Underwood was cast. Megan, Stanley’s main character, is a nice and skilled computer coder who becomes a free spirit after Isabella moves in with them.

The second season of Cruel Summer will be more like an anthology than a continuation of Season 1’s story about Jeannette and Kate. Even though some of the same actors will be in the series, the plot will be completely different.
