Who Was Paul Cattermole?

Paul was born in St Albans, Hertfordshire. His grandfather suggested that he find a job in the music industry as he worked at Abbey Road Studios in London.

In his early life, Paul took a part in a local performance of West Side Story and then he joined the National Youth Music Theatre.

At the age of sixteen, Paul formed a heavy metal band called Skua, later Simon Fuller chose him to be in S Club 7 band group in 1998.

He continued this band till 2002, in these five years, this band released 4 UK no.1 hit singles which included the top ten singles in the United States, and Latin America. Asia and Africa.

In 2002, Cattermole re-joined his former band group, Skua. But after a year the band split as they failed to sign with a record label. He worked on hiatus for 5 years. In October 2008, Cattermole performed for S Club 3.

The group performed for the series of university, and nightclub gigs, and also performed a set list which consisted of a selection of songs from their Greatest Hits Album.

Skua was re-established in January 2014. The group released its debut single, “Falling,” on July 14. The two singles “Got Not Choice” and “Out Of Control” were released on July 20. On October 14th, Kneel, their debut album, was released.

Skua found themselves lacking a frontman, due to obligations with S Club 7’s reunion, and the group was abandoned after only releasing one album. No record labels were involved; the band alone promoted the album, mainly on social media.

For the first time in more than ten years, the original line-up would perform together for BBC Children in Need, it was announced in October 2014.

Bring It All Back 2015, the arena reunion tour that S Club 7 immediately announced as part of their 2015 tour schedule, played in the UK in May. Cattermole made the decision to quit S Club 3 following the S Club 7 complete reunion tour.

In 2015, Eddie was played by Cattermole in a touring version of The Rocky Horror Show. He departed the tour after suffering a back injury because of a dancer falling on him during a dance routine.

In 2018, Cattermole revealed in an interview with Loose Women that he was working on odd jobs since leaving The Rocky Horror Show cast. He also worked for a community radio station in Swanage as a station manager.

S Club announced on its social media pages on February 10, 2023, that an important announcement would be made on The One Show on February 13, at 7 o’clock.

On February 11, 2023, Barrett, O’Meara, and Stevens also made an appearance at the Brit Awards to encourage fans to tune in to find out what was going on.

 Ultimately, on February 13, the group disclosed that they were reuniting to go on tour for their 25th anniversary on The One Show which will begin at M & S Bank Arena in Liverpool on 13 October 2023.
