Joe Cornish, the show’s creator, previously told Empire, “So there’s probably a couple more seasons in the books” after confirming that season one covers the first two volumes in Stroud’s five-book series.
Cornish promises that fans will be satisfied with the show’s continuing plot if Netflix decides to renew it.
“The tale in the novels is quite well-plotted,” he said. “As his series progresses, Jonathan Stroud’s worldbuilding becomes more robust, and he comes up with increasingly ingenious methods to explore it. The story really progresses and resolves. Thus, we’re eager to continue working together.”
