It has been announced that Nickelodeon’s Good Burger, starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, will have a sequel. The announcement was made during an episode of Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, so it’s likely that we won’t have to wait long to see it on our television screens.
Variety verified that the original film’s plot was originally conceived as a sketch for the All That series, rather than the scenario audiences were familiar with from 25 years ago. It turned out to be a huge financial success, and the comedy is now one of the channel’s most well-known shows. With an extremely low budget of about $10 million, it managed to raise about $24 million.
It gained cult status very rapidly, and its legion of devoted followers today consider it to be among the studio’s finest.
