Disney+ has ended season 1 of The Bad Batch, but we won’t be seeing Clone Force 99 or Omega again. The animated show was renewed for a second season just before its two-part finale.
Good thing, too, because our trip with the Batch didn’t end so well. Who knows, maybe the second season of The Bad Batch will wrap out their story. Fans have been following this ragtag crew on their many adventures as they try to find their niche in the expanding galaxy.
The Bad Batch has looked into questions of free will, responsibility, and the nature of service in totalitarian armies. Clone troopers were gradually phased out of military ranks across the galaxy as the Empire took power, and the season finale signalled the end of an era in the Star Wars world as the riddle was finally solved.
When will the next chapter of Batch’s story be available, and where will the programme go from here? This is what we have learned thus far.
The Bad Batch Season 2 Release Date
The Bad Batch season 2 will launch on Disney+ in 2022, although there are currently no plans to air the show in May of that year. The Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series, which has been much-anticipated, will finally be available on May 25.
As a result of that announcement, speculation developed as to whether or not The Bad Batch will return in the spring of 2022, as was previously reported in an issue of Star Wars Insider.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Plot
Considering the way that the first season of The Bad Batch concluded, the second season will most likely also have two separate storylines. After everything was finally settled between Crosshair and the rest of the Batch, they still went their separate ways because they had fundamentally different beliefs and goals.
With its sharpshooter waiting for the Empire to come back around and get him, the Batch have returned to their former life as mercenaries. As of now, they are not on opposing sides of a burgeoning battle, but that will change in the next second season.
The Batch will eventually have to chose whether or not to join the rebels in their war. Since they oppose the regime’s policies, they don’t consider the Empire a viable option. In season two, the tensions between Crosshair and his siblings are likely to flare up again. The scenario ends with Nala Se being taken away to an Imperial facility.
The Bad Batch Season 2 Cast
While a lot of things were destroyed in “Kamino Lost,” everyone made it to the season finale unscathed. So, the whole Batch, including Omega and the young clone’s robot, should return.
Season 2’s presumed cast list is as follows:
- The Batch and the Regs are played by Dee Bradley Baker.
- Omega is played by Michelle Ang.
- Cid Noshir Dalal is played by Rhea Perlman, while Vice Admiral Rampart is played by Rhea Perlman.
- Nala Se is played by Gwendoline Yeo.
- Admiral Tarkin is played by Stephen Stanton.
- AZI-3 is played by Ben Diskin.
