In For All Humanity, the Russians beat the Americans to the moon. Because to Apple TV+, we don’t have to ponder a universe in which For All Mankind ended after season three. The streaming service announced the show’s renewal well before the conclusion of season three.
The renewal was revealed towards the end of July’s San Diego Comic-Con. This early confirmation raises hopes that new episodes will arrive at a rate closer to the speed of light than in the past.
Yet, what is going to take place is unclear. With a new destination in Mars’ sights, Season 3 took us through the ’90s and left us wondering what the future of the 21st century might bring. Get up, because Digital Spy is about to spill the beans on the upcoming season four of For All Mankind on Apple TV+.
For All Mankind Season 4 Potential Release Date
As Apple TV+ confirmed the renewal for season four at San Diego Comic-Con, the streaming service also disclosed that filming for season four would begin in August 2022. If production goes according to plan, new episodes could premiere in the winter of 2023.
Even if things don’t go perfectly, we should witness For All Mankind’s comeback within that time range if history is any indicator.

For All Mankind Season 4 Trailer
For All Mankind Season 4 Plot: What will happen?
For All Mankind’s third season finale had every ounce of drama that viewers had come to expect by this point.
The entrance of Lee Jung-gil, Kelly’s pregnancy concerns, and Danny’s long-awaited revelation turned Mars into a real shitshow while Ellen faced with the aftermath of her coming out speech.
Ed’s daughter Kelly and his future grandchild “Little’ Ed” were in grave danger, but he was able to save them. It was a grand and poignant moment, in stark contrast to the way season two finished. But it doesn’t imply there wasn’t any sadness at the end.
When a bomb destroyed half of the Johnson Space Centre—the one place on Earth where our favourite characters were always safe—it came as a stunning turn of events.
Two of the show’s mainstays had been with us from the beginning, and they were among the hundreds killed in the blast. Even though we’ve skipped ahead to 2003 from 1995, this trauma will undoubtedly have lasting effects on the programme even though we don’t know anything about season four just yet.
It appears that the fourth season will be a quantum leap forward for humanity. At least, that’s what Joel Kinnaman says (via The Ringer).
“Right now I’m reading the Season 4 script, and I have to say that the ideas for both Season 4 and Season 5 are fantastic. If we can keep this train going, I predict that the next few stops will be spectacular.”
As for Joel’s character Ed’s emotional state in the upcoming season, after the horrific events of season three, he seems to be channelling some serious Doctor Manhattan vibes.
“The loss of his life partner and the birth of his first grandson threw him into a state of emotional upheaval that was both profound and immediate. Even though I know where it leads, I get the impression that Ed is gradually losing his grounding in reality.”
What, if anything, does Margot’s leap entail for her? Exactly why has she ended up in what appears to be Russia? When Ellen runs for president, will she still be with her one true love? Would you expect Ed to have his ripped physique while being eight years older? To find out the answers to these questions and more, look no further than season four of For All Mankind.
For All Mankind Season 4 Cast: Who will be in it?
For All Mankind has a more rapid cast turnover than typical shows due to its time-jumping structure. Still, it seems safe to presume that the following will be returning for Season 4:
• Joel Kinnaman as Edward “Ed” Baldwin
• Jodi Balfour as Ellen Wilson
• Wrenn Schmidt as Margo Madison
• Krys Marshall as Danielle Poole
• Cynthy Wu as Kelly Baldwin
• Casey W Johnson as Danny Stevens
• Coral Peña as Aleida Rosales
• Edi Gathegi as Dev Ayesa
