Showtime’s “Your Honor” is a gritty and captivating courtroom drama television series created by renowned English playwright-screenwriter Peter Moffat, who is well known for his work on the hit television series “Undercover.” The premise of the drama, which is based on the Israeli television programme “Kvodo,” centres on a New Orleans judge named Michael and his son Adam as they become entangled in a web of deceit and suffering.
Adam’s father invites him to appear in court after Adam mistakenly kills a teenager in a hit-and-run incident. The victim’s status as the son of a mafia boss prompts the court to reconsider his decision. He makes an attempt to tamper with the evidence, but the consequences for him and his kid would be disastrous.
The show debuted in 2020, and since then, just one season has been produced, with generally positive reviews from both audiences and critics. It has gained a devoted following and won accolades for the performances and the setting. If you’re interested in finding out if the programme will get a second season, we’ve got you covered!
Your Honor Season 2 Release Date
The first season of “Your Honor” debuted on Showtime on December 6, 2020, and the season finale aired on February 14, 2021. The first season contains 10 episodes, each of which lasts between 52 and 63 minutes.
Here is everything we know about the upcoming season. Although the programme was initially intended to be a miniseries, its positive reception encouraged its creators and network to drop the designation of limited series and continue it as a regular series.

Approximately six months after the debut of the first season’s finale, on August 24, 2021, Showtime decided to renew the programme for a second season. We were astounded with “Your Honor”… Peter’s storyline, Bryan’s acting, and the huge response from our subscribers who tuned in in record numbers all contributed to the show’s renewal, according to Gary Levine, co-president of entertainment at Showtime.
Imagine our joy when we found that Bryan felt he had more levels to explore and Peter thought he had more to say. I am joyously chanting “Encore!” alongside its millions of supporters as a result. Season 2 is currently being written and pre-produced, but there is no word on when filming will start.
We do anticipate the crew coming back to the set at the start of 2022, though. The production crew will finish the shot in about 5 to 6 months if they follow the filming schedule of the first season. So long as there are no unforeseen delays, we may anticipate that season 2 will debut in the third quarter of 2022.
Who is in the Your Honor Season 2 cast?
We do not currently know of any cast changes, but we anticipate that the majority of the original cast will return. Bryan Cranston will likely return as Michael Desiato in the ensemble of the lead cast, along with Hunter Doohan, who might play Adam Desiato (if the character escapes the devastating trauma of the first season’s finale).
We anticipate seeing Carmen Ejogo, Hope Davis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Sofia Black-D’Elia, Gina Baxter, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Sofia Black-D’Elia in additional key parts (Lee Delamere). Andrene Ward-Hammond (Big Mo), Margo Martindale (Elizabeth Guthrie), Benjamin Flores Jr. (Eugene Jones), Maura Tierney (Fiona McKee), Amy Landecker (Nancy Costello), Jimi Stanton (Carlo Baxter), and Chet Hanks are all anticipated to play recurring parts (Joey Maldini).
Lamar Johnson, who played Kofi Jones in the first season, will not, however, return in that capacity.
