During the 1985 season of Punky Brewster, Bure guest starred as Jennifer Bates. She has a role as Eric Stoltz’s younger sister in the teen comedy Some Kind of Wonderful. In 1987, Bure made her breakthrough as Donna Jo “D.J.” Tanner, the eldest daughter of Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), on the ensemble sitcom Full House. Bure was a constant presence during all eight seasons of the show, which ran from 1988 to 1995.
