Andy Reid Net Worth: When Did He Leave the Eagles?

Currently, the head coach of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, Andrew Walter Reid is a prominent figure in American football (NFL). From 1999 through 2012, Reid led the Philadelphia Eagles on the field. At the same time, he served as the team’s exec VP of football operations from 2001 to 2012. He is the only coach in NFL history to win 100 games and lead two separate teams to four consecutive conference championship games.

From 1992 until 1998, Reid worked as an offensive assistant with the Green Bay Packers, where he helped lead the team to victory in Super Bowl XXXI. During his time in Green Bay, he earned a reputation as an extremely thorough and well-prepared coach, which helped him land his first head coaching job with the Eagles in 1999.

The Philadelphia Eagles were able to consistently make the playoffs under Reid’s leadership. The Eagles went 9-7 during his tenure as head coach, won six division titles, reached five NFC Championship Games (including four straight from 2001–2004), and reached Super Bowl XXXIX. Despite his accomplishments, Reid was ultimately let go by the Eagles following the 2012 season because he failed to lead the team to a Super Bowl title.

It was in 2013 when he became the Chiefs’ head coach. With Reid’s support, the struggling team was able to snap an eight-game postseason losing record that had stood since 1993. In his nine full seasons as head coach, Reid has led the Kansas City Chiefs to eight playoff berths, six division titles, four consecutive AFC Championship Games, two Super Bowl appearances, and a Super Bowl LIV championship. This was the franchise’s first Super Bowl victory in 50 years, and Reid’s first as a head coach.
