Numerous celebrities, including pop stars Justin Bieber and Chloe Bailey, gospel artists Yolanda Adams and Byron Cage, and thousands of people gathered in Atlanta on Friday to celebrate the life of Migos rapper Takeoff, who was killed in a shooting.
According to Jeffrey Wilson, an Atlantan, “His mother was up there, and I could see the tears in her.” “I personally felt a sense of kinship, as if I knew him personally.”
Rapper Drake talked about his enjoyable experiences touring with Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset of the Migos in 2018, according to TMZ.
Offset claimed that his 28-year-old cousin had “changed the culture of music” in a statement that was caught on camera by someone who managed to sneak a cell phone into the gathering. He then began to cry and cried out to God for assistance.
He prayed into a microphone with his head bowed, “Lord, give us the strength… give us some strength, the family, everybody, give us some strength.” “I’m sorry to bother you, but I don’t understand. Sometimes I just don’t get you. And you have my faith, Father.
Scriptural readings, prayers, musical performances, personal reflections, and a poem were all part of the ceremony, according to a program shared on one attendee’s Instagram Stories. Although the event’s organizers forbade the media from entering, several fans who left the gathering attested to the presence of Quavo and Offset as well as Justin Bieber and Drake.
