Peacock’s Vampire Academy, which follows the lives of two vampires—Moroi princess Lissa (Daniela Nieves) and her dhampir guardian Rose—is all aristocrats and glitz (Sisi Stringer). The show follows the two friends, who come from quite different social strata, as they finish their individual educations at St. Vladimir’s boarding school and become ready to join the royal vampire society.
The series is based on Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy, which was first released in 2007 and sparked five additional sequel novels. In 2011, Mead also released a spin-off series called Bloodlines. Executive producer Julie Plec said at the 2022 New York Comic Con that they have absolutely planned ahead and are aware of which characters have multi-season story arcs. Peacock has not yet stated whether or not Vampire Academy Season 2 will be released.
Additionally, Plec informed ScreenRant that they already know which Vampire Academy characters from upcoming novels they want to include. “We definitely discuss Adrian and Sydney a lot. She made reference to two characters that are significant throughout the Bloodlines series. Come ask us that question again when we return for Season 2 instead, she said, adding that she couldn’t discuss it any further at the moment.
At the end of the day, it’s evident that Plec and co-executive producer Marguerite McIntyre want to expand the Vampire Academy universe. Plec told ScreenRant, “We are both huge fans of Vampire Academy. “With the content, we go way back.
And I’ve always loved how much material there is in these novels to work with. We have everything we need because there is so much story—so many amazing friendships, sexual relationships, political intrigue, and the Royal Court. If that seems similar, Plec neatly summarised everything in an interview with Entertainment Weekly from 2021 by saying, She continued, “I thought, ‘This is contemporary Bridgerton with vampires. Who wouldn’t want to see that?
Potential Premiere Date for Season 2 of Vampire Academy
It is unclear how long Vampire Academy will last between seasons as Peacock is still expanding its drama selection. However, it’s generally accepted that streaming program production takes a year.
One of Us Is Lying, another teen program produced by Peacock, had its premiere in October 2021, received a renewal in January 2022, and debuted again in October 2022. We might be able to anticipate a new season of Vampire Academy in October 2023 or perhaps during the winter if the show follows a similar pattern.
The Cast of Vampire Academy Season 2
The main cast, which includes Sisi Stringer as Rose, Daniela Nieves as Lissa, Kieron Moore as Dimitri, and André Dae Kim as Christian, would undoubtedly return to this expansive vampire universe. Mia McKenna-Bruce, Jonetta Kaiser, Rhian Blundell, and Meredith, Mia’s love interest, are all expected to make a comeback as well.
According to Stringer, the studio seemed “very pleased” with the reception the show has been receiving. She adds that the series will soon be available in Asia and South America and that it has been trending on Twitter and receiving a lot of fan response. I merely hope and pray that the story might be continued in the past.

According to Jazzy De Lisser, who plays Sasha, she is “hopeful” that Sasha can make a comeback. Moore is equally eager to see how Dimitri’s tale is developed in upcoming seasons. “This first season moves at a hundred miles per hour because there is so much happening. Although we’ve just seen a small portion of what this could be, we’ll challenge and perhaps draw in new viewers, he told Collider. This planet is enormous. We introduce numerous different things. Since the answers are ultimately less significant than the questions, I hope the program doesn’t provide too many of them. Demand increases as there are more inquiries.
