Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Beautiful World’s second season premiered in 2017. The community has been waiting for an update on Season 3 ever since. After a long wait, we now have official confirmation that the series has been renewed for a third season.
The Konosuba anime began in 2016, and Studio Deen did an excellent job with the first two seasons of the television show. In 2019, the community also received the anime film KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson.
Following that, in July 2021, the creators announced a new anime project centered on Konosuba. At the time, however, no information about the animation studio was revealed. Aside from that, we didn’t know whether the upcoming project would be the highly anticipated Season 3 of the show or a standalone series. So, we finally have some clarity on that.
Konosuba Season 3 Plot
KonoSuba follows Kazuma Sat, a young boy who dies of a heart attack after rescuing a girl from a speeding truck. Upon his death, however, he is transported to a world similar to that of a role-playing game (RPG), where he quickly forms a dysfunctional party with goddess Aqua, magician Megumin, and knight Darkness.
KonoSuba season three will most likely adapt volumes six and seven of the light novel series, as the first two seasons and film did. Possible spoilers ahead, but Darkness leaves to marry a lord in these volumes, potentially severing the misfit party of adventurers for good. Kazuma is living comfortably with the money he received for defeating the Devil King.
This quickly piques The Crown’s interest, with Princess Iris enlisting his assistance in apprehending The Chivalrous Thief Chris, who has stolen the empire’s wealth. A skirmish with the Devil King’s army, on the other hand, ends in disaster, and Kazuma is exiled in disgrace, separated from his trusted party.
The reincarnated former gamer will then have to clear his name while uncovering a vast royal conspiracy. Season three will most likely focus on Kazuma and Megumin’s budding relationship, which was a major focus of the 2019 film.

What Do We Have to Know About Konosuba Anime?
KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! by Natsume Akatsuki is a Japanese light novel series. Kazuma Sat is transferred to a fantasy realm with MMORPG features after his death, where he forms a dysfunctional adventure group with a deity, an archwizard, and a crusader.
Originally serialized on Shsetsuka ni Nar between December 2012 and October 2013, KonoSuba was published as a printed light novel series by Kadokawa Shoten between October 2013 and May 2020 under the company’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label. Kurone Mishima’s artwork complements the diverse narrative of the light novel series. Kazuma Sat, a Japanese adolescent shut-in NEET, meets Aqua, a goddess who promises to reincarnate him in another dimension with MMORPG features, where he can go on adventures and fight monsters.
Despite being given a superpowered object or ability to use in this new universe, Kazuma chooses Aqua to accompany him to the village of Axel, quickly discovering her forgetfulness to be less than useful. Aqua is unable to return to the afterlife until the Devil King is defeated, so the two form a group and enlist the help of two other members: an explosion-obsessed wizard named Megumin and a masochistic crusader named Darkness.
The series was animated by Koichi Kikuta and Momoka Komatsu, with the former working on odd-numbered episodes and the latter on even-numbered ones. While Komatsu’s character designs were more beautiful and closely matched those of the light novels, Kikuta based his designs on children’s programs such as Pokémon because he believed KonoSuba’s plot was similar to those seen in Pokémon.
