Los Espookys is an American comedy television series created by Ana Fabrega, Fred Armisen, and Julio Torres. The show has the perfect blend of comedy, horror, and mystery.

Review of season 1
Although Los Espookys is more like Scooby-Doo in reverse, the Scooby-Doo spirit is still very much present there. Remember how the Mystery Machine group would spend the night in a reputedly haunted mansion, castle, or island resort only to discover that the strange occurrences were staged using wires, mirrors, costumes, etc.?
This HBO half-hour series by Fred Armisen, Ana Fabrega, and Julio Torres (who also create and co-star) follows a gang of 20-somethings who arrange fictitious supernatural events for clients under the direction of Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco), a horror-movie enthusiast. The first episode, which airs on Friday night, opens with a quinceanera with a bloody theme that Renaldo is in charge of.
A priest wants to preside over an exorcism to expose a young, trendy priest who recently moved into his parish. The activity has a Max Fischerian touch, but it’s easiest to say the group gets a lot done with little. Even if the plot and characters are simple, the assignments get harder.
Velasco plays Renaldo, a charismatic motivator and ringleader with a toothy grin. Andres (Torres), an orphan who will inherit a fortune in chocolate, rsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti), a dentist who refuses to smile, and Tati (Fabrega), a ready participant in anything who is first seen at the parish manually turning a fan to cool the priest in his office.
The sitcom’s sarcastic humor, convincing comic performances, and quotable dialogue make up for its monotonous style. Low-risk, like FX’s vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows. The Little Rascals show is now mainly in Spanish with English subtitles. Only an eye-ringed dog is lacking.
Los Espookys assures that nothing it depicts, including its location, is literal. Despite being billed as being set in Mexico City, it was shot in Chile, and the scripts only specify that it is not set in Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, Armisen plays Renaldo’s uncle Tico. Armisen is half-Venezuelan, while Fabrega is Panamanian.
A fairytale series. Subcultures, not hobbies, define and test characters. Tico’s pursuit of the World’s Greatest Valet Parker indicates that many people appreciate virtuoso parking. Renaldo’s name was criticized since it lacked a Y. To the show’s credit, he describes his pain and transcendence so candidly that we root for him to triumph and become the world’s best impersonator of otherworldly encounters.
