1. The Last Tourist
After viewing this documentary, you might want to rethink your intentions to visit a developing nation and ride an elephant to try to justify your social media posts by donating a few dollars to the economy of the local community instead.
The critical consensus seems to be that The Last Tourist is a fan favorite because of the important message it conveys and the lovely sights it presents in many countries. The breathtaking scenery will indeed make you want to go there, but you shouldn’t.
2. Battle: Los Angeles
In the film Battle: Los Angeles, directed by a potential nominee for the Razzie Award, Marine Sgt. Michael Nantz (Aaron Echart) and a platoon of marines struggle to function as humanity’s last line of defense against an extraterrestrial invasion.
In this location, which takes place in Los Angeles, the soldiers fight their way around the city’s major sites while trying to figure out their next move and rescue citizens who have become trapped in the rubble. Battle: Los Angeles is a movie about fighting that features a lot of action shots with a handheld camera and an outstanding cast that includes Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pea, and Ne-Yo, amongst others.
Tim Roth plays the role of a wealthy British man who, while on vacation with his siblings in Acapulco, Mexico, is unexpectedly called back home due to a family tragedy.
Tim Roth personifies apathy throughout the film. On the other hand, he can avoid going back by stating that he had lost his passport in the hotel where he was staying. After that, he’ll just settle down in Mexico and give everyone else the responsibility of resolving the issue.
In this low-plot, beer-drinking-on-the-beach movie, which contains a lot of beer shots, Roth is terrific as a man who has given up. He plays the role of an alcoholic.
4. Death on the Nile
Kenneth Branaugh’s film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel Death on the Nile is a wonderful substitute for a big-boat cruise. It features expansive terraces overlooking the water, stately ballrooms, drifting reverie, and MURDER.
The film was directed by Kenneth Branaugh. A whodunit features Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Armie Hammer, and Branaugh in the lead roles, along with a who’s who cast in supporting roles (who does double duty as director). It is, without a doubt, a flawed film; yet, it is a film with an old-fashioned sensibility, and as such, it is a good diversion from the reality of day-to-day existence.
5. Willy’s Wonderland
A nomadic traveler, played by Nicholas Cage, makes a deal to spend the night cleaning Willy’s Wonderland, a dilapidated children’s arcade located in a small town, in exchange for free repairs to his automobile.
Even though he anticipates having a soothing evening, the animate robots that were previously deployed to entertain customers of the establishment come to life and begin assaulting the despondent patron.
Nicholas Cage is allowed to shine in all of the best possible ways in this humorous and action-packed B-movie. The Five Nights at Freddie’s video game franchise served as a conceptual jumping-off point for Willy’s Wonderland.
6. Deep Water
It has been twenty years since Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction), a famous figure in the sexual thriller subgenre, has appeared in a film, and this will be his comeback performance.
His last sexual suspense novel was titled “Unfaithful,” and it was published in 2002, right around the time that the market for such novels was beginning to dry up. Lyne is back and better than ever because of the proliferation of streaming services, after taking a little break.
Ben Affleck from “Gone Girl” and Ana de Armas from “Deep Water” portray the roles of a married couple in this film who engage in strange psychosexual mind games with one another and finally begin to turn up dead.
The 2019 filming of the movie coincided with the beginning of the couple’s romantic relationship, which they have since severed. The worst is not even close to being over yet! Deep Water, a film that had been slated for a theatrical release in 2020 but has since been shifted to Hulu, may benefit the most from Hulu’s direct-to-streaming strategy. This was the initial plan for the film, but it has since been transferred to Hulu. Being alive at this time is a filthy thing to do.
After the financial success of Michael Bay’s cinematic adaptation of the Transformers toy line, Hasbro decided to adapt another one of their properties, Battleship, for the big screen.
In Peter Berg’s Battleship, Captain John Paul Jones and his crew are thrust into a precarious situation when they are confronted with an unexpected extraterrestrial invasion off the coast of Hawaii.
If you’re in the mood for some old-school alien violence, it’s definitely worth your time to check out the film Aliens: Colonial Marines, even though it was not a commercial success at the box office. The film features a stellar cast, including Taylor Kitsch, Rihanna, Alexander Skarsgaard, and Liam Neeson.
8. Hell Hath No Fury
This is one of those movies that you can watch on a limited spending plan if that’s what you’re looking for. Under the direction of action filmmaker and stuntman Jesse V. Johnson, who is a frequent collaborator of underground British action star Scott Adkins, this World War II thriller follows Nazis, resistance fighters, and American soldiers as they search for reports of Nazi riches hidden in a French cemetery.
The Nazis are searching for reports of Nazi riches hidden in the cemetery. The cemetery is the setting for a significant number of the film’s scenes, and the story revolves around Nina Bergman’s character, who is accused of being a Nazi sympathizer and who may have more information about the treasure than anybody else. A gruesome, distressing, and violent motion picture that is amazing in the atmosphere it creates but is not going to blow anyone away.
9. No Exit
Even in this day and age, when there is widespread mistrust of people you have never met before, a movie about being locked in a room with four strangers, one of whom is believed to be a kidnapper, is not likely to be interesting enough to grab our interest.
No Exit is a movie that is only available on Hulu, and we are going to watch it right now. It is about a troubled young woman and four random people. Things take a turn for the worst when she finds the body of a kidnapped child in one of their trucks.
Although there have been different reviews regarding the quality of this movie, it appears to have been made primarily for the purpose of entertaining audiences rather than for critics.
10. The Doorman
After her success in John Wick 2 and in her role as Batwoman on the CW, the actress Ruby Rose was more than prepared to star in her very own action movie. Rose, who served in the United States Marine Corps for several years, plays the role of Ali Gorsky, a doorman at a ritzy hotel in New York City, in the film The Doorman.
Ali anticipates a relaxing holiday, but her expectations are dashed when a group of mercenaries storm the hotel, place it under lockdown, and begin a brutal search for priceless artwork. Ali’s vacation is ruined. In this tense thriller, Ali is the only one who can put an end to the mercenaries’ reign of terror.
