‘Miss Kobayashi‘s Dragon Maid,’ also known as ‘Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon,’ or simply ‘Dragon Maid,’ is an ecchi urban-fantasy slice-of-life TV anime that was adapted from a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Cool-kyou Shinja. The main character, Kobayashi, is a programmer who works for a large company.
One night, while out on a drunken adventure, he meets the chaotic dragon Tooru. She assists the dragon by removing the holy sword that was strapped to her back, and she even offers to let the dragon stay in her apartment provided she will work as a maid for her. The next day, Tooru shows up at Kobayashi’s doorsteps, and as a result, they subsequently begin their life together, which is both exhilarating and unconventional.
Since it first aired on January 12, 2017, the anime has been the subject of controversy, particularly with regard to the ages of certain characters and how they are portrayed. On the other hand, it has also been praised for the way in which it portrays the many dimensions of contemporary romantic relationships.
