Chad Stahelski and Derek Kolstad collaborated on the 2014 action movie John Wick, a neo-noir thriller directed by Stahelski. Michael Nyqvist, Michael Nyqvist, Adrianne Palicki, Bridget Moynahan, Dean Winters, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, and Keanu Reeves are among the cast members.
John Wick: Chapter 1 is the first film in the John Wick series. The tale revolves around ex-assassin John Wick, who sets out to find the men responsible for breaking into his house, stealing his classic automobile, and shooting and killing his beloved puppy, a present from his recently deceased wife.
The film was co-directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, but only Stahelski received credit. The screenplay was written by Kolstad in 2012 and developed further by Thunder Road Pictures. Basil Iwanyk of Thunder Road Pictures, as well as Leitch, Eva Longoria, and Michael Witherill, worked together to create the film. The first time Stahelski and Leitch have directed a film together as a director and stunt coordinator. They had previously served as stunt doubles for Reeves on the trilogy of The Matrix.
For their battle scenes, Stahelski and Leitch looked to anime and martial arts flicks, two of their favorite genres. Fight choreographers and gun-fu techniques from Hong Kong action films were incorporated into the filmmaking process. Films such as The Killer, Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Cercle Rouge and Le Samoura, Point Blank by John Boorman, and the spaghetti Westerns are all homaged in this picture.

In response, Viggo sends a hit squad to John’s house, but John kills them all and hires an underworld cleaning crew to remove the bodies and evidence.

Trailer of John Wick
Dogs should not be killed. Don’t do it. Period. Don’t kill John Wick‘s dog, either. Because he will track you down and execute you. He’ll go all Liam Neeson on you, and you’ll be wishing he was Liam Neeson instead of John Wick the entire time he’s on your backside.
Because John Wick is a badass, just like the film’s title character.
When the Russian mafia hears the name “Keanu Reeves,” they know they’re in for a treat. Friends, Keanu Reeves is back, and he may be even better than before. This is Reeves’ best film since The Matrix, so it’s no surprise that he’s so proud of it. In his most visceral performance to date, he dives into the role with a fierce intensity.
Nobody cares about Reeves’ acting, of course. That which he is, that he is, cannot be changed. It’s a fast-paced, violent, and exciting film. From start to finish, John Wick is the best revenge film you’ve scars. Reeves is able to shoot, stab, and punch his way through dozens of henchmen in John Wick’s action sequences, which keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
Chad Stahelski, the film’s director, has done an excellent job with the film’s soundtrack, which includes music and composition by Tyler BatesEven even though it is a serious film, Derek Kolstad’s screenplay lends John Wick a surreal tone. John Wick is a blast to watch, and the soundtrack only adds to the enjoyment.
While John Wick is violent, bloody, and ruthless, it’s also thrilling and energizing. Killing his dog isn’t an option. Because. He. Is. Going. To. Find. You.
