What is the plot of Black Jesus?

When it comes to outstanding entertainment, Adult Swim never shies away from controversy or pushing boundaries. ‘Black Jesus’ is just another attempt by the platform to introduce an idea that frequent viewers of this channel should be familiar with. ‘Black Jesus,’ as the title suggests, is about an African-American Christ who lives in modern-day Compton, California. With his ragtag band of followers, he tries to spread love and charity in the area. His crew is small and primarily made up of disgruntled believers, but they are devoted to Jesus and his mission. The series follows this contemporary avatar of the Messiah as he enters the mayhem of the urban jungle and becomes embroiled in numerous misfortunes — as he and his team constantly devise new ways to spread the gospel to the ‘hood.’
