Chrishell Stause is a real estate agent and television personality best known for her role in Netflix’s reality series Selling Sunset. She is also known for her roles on ABC’s All My Children and NBC’s Days of Our Lives. Chrishell Stause has a net worth of $5 million as of 2022.
Her Early life
Chrishell was born in Draffenville, Kentucky, on July 21, 1981. Her name comes from the day her mother went into labour in a Shell gas station. Chris, an attendant, assisted her. The name Chrishell is a combination of the attendant’s name and the name of the gas station.
She is one of four children, with her eldest sister, Shoda, also a reality television star. Growing up, their family was impoverished, and they lived in a trailer park. Stause was homeless for a time between the seventh and tenth grades of high school.
Despite the obstacles, she was able to attend Murray State University. She studied theatre there and graduated with honors in 2003. She began working on her passion immediately after graduating from college.
Stause rose to prominence in 2005 when she appeared on the soap opera ‘All My Children.’ She took over for Alexis Manta, who played Amanda Dillon for the first time. She later joined the Los Angeles-based comedy troupe ‘The Groundlings.’
Stause also appeared in the NBC drama ‘Days of Our Lives’ in 2013 as Jordan Ridgeway. She left the show in 2015, only to reappear in 2019.
Stause’s first major role in a film was in the thriller ‘Eve of Abduction’ in 2017. During this time, the aspiring actress was also a real estate agent. She was chosen to be a part of the Netflix real estate series Selling Sunset, which allowed her to combine both of her professions.
As an agent with the Oppenheim Group, one of the top real estate brokers in Los Angeles for luxury properties, she demonstrated her sales skills. She has appeared in every season of the hit show so far, and she will be a key character in season 5!
Chrishell has also dabbled in publishing, having released her first book, ‘Under Construction,’ earlier this year. So far, the book has sold well and has received over 500 reviews on Amazon.
Earnings and net worth
Stause has marketed a number of multi-million dollar properties for commissions totaling tens of thousands of dollars. The Oppenheim Group agent is thought to have earned $404,752 in commissions on the homes she sold.
She also made money from her roles in soap operas. The average earnings from these projects range between $450 and $1,000 per episode. The figure for Selling Sunset is much higher, but it is not made public. Nonetheless, it contributes to Chrishell’s $5 million fortune.
Chrishell was previously engaged to actor Matthew Morrison for a year before marrying another TV personality, Justin Hartley, in 2017, but the couple divorced in 2021. Stause has had brief relationships with performer Keo Motsepe and her boss Jason Oppenheim since her divorce from Hartley. She is currently single and lives alone in her $3.3 million home, which she purchased in June 2021.
