Reliance Jio : Mukesh Ambani Says Company Working To Make India 2G Mukt, 5G Yukt

At a virtual press conference, RIL Chairman has said that it is not only working on making India 2G free but also 5G enabled. The Chairman has promised that it is going to be the first company in India that will bring 5G network services to India. The Chairman also talked about the growth of JioFibre cables at the 44th Annual General Meeting. He said that the company has started testing on 5G network solutions and it has successfully demonstrated speeds in excess of 1Gbps. Till now the company has successfully installed JioFibre in 3 million homes, out of which 2 million were installed last year.

So, finally 44th General Annual Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited has been concluded and it was conducted virtually because of pandemic. In this event, the Chairman of the Company ‘Mukesh Ambani’ threw light on various topics. The Chairman has also announced that very soon the company will be launching a 5G networks enabled smartphone – JIOPHONE NEXT that will be available to the customers at a very affordable price.

The smartphone will be jointly developed by the collaboration of Google and Jio. He also added that Reliance Jio will use Google Cloud to power Jio’s 5G solutions in the future, and for also powering Reliance Retail, JioSaavn, JioMart, and JioHealth.

Sharing the good news with the shareholders, Ambani told that the Company has done exceptionally well despite of the situations caused by covid-19. He said, “In last 10 years, Reliance invested $90 billion in creating substantial wealth for nation and value for shareholders. In the coming decade, Reliance has the capacity to catalyse investments of over $200bn directly and through partners.” Adding to his previous statement, he said, “These investments will create value on an exponential scale. They will also create over 10 lakh new employment opportunities, besides fostering thousands of small and medium enterprises across the country.”

He also announced that Saudi Aramco Chairman and Governor of the Kingdom’s Wealth Fund Public Investment Fund Yasir Al-Rumayyan is going to join the board of Reliance Industries as an independent director.

The Chairman also told that the company will uniquely position its 4G networks to be switched to 5G networks and it will be the first company to bring 5G networks to India. So, this was all about the event ’44th Annual General Meeting’ of RIL. For more such updates, stay tuned with the page.
