IPL season 13 was a joyous affair for Royal Challengers Bangalore as they made entry into the top four after getting failure from past seasons. But unfortunately, they couldn’t reach their destination. Therefore, this year RCB has made some changes in structure so they could last long in the game and win the title. Virat Kohli who knows very well how to transform one’s potential to gain a victory leads RCB. Down below is the RCB prediction for IPL and the cumulative analysis of RCB.

Total Crew:

The players this year in the team are Virat Kohli (Capt), AB de Villiers, Devdutt

Padikkal, Navdeep Saini, Kane Richardson, Kylie Jamieson, Suyash Prabhudessai,

KS Bharat, Pavan Deshpande, Washington Sundar, Harshal Patel, Glenn Maxwell,

Dan Christian, Rajat Patidar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shahbaz Ahmed, Mohammed Siraj, Adam Zampa, Daniel Sams, Mohammed Azharuddeen, Sachin Baby, Finn Allen.

Strength:

They decided it as always that the captain Virat Kohli will open the innings in partnership with Devdut Padikkal. As RCB is powerful because of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Kohli has played excellent in the T20s. RCB has an extra advantage over all-rounder players in the team, like Glen Maxwell and pacer Kylie Jamieson. Also, Kane Richardson can play a brilliant match in the T20s. RCB also has an extraordinary bowling unit of players like Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, Adam Zampa, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Navdeep Saini. Also, this year Fin Allen is included in the team who is a promising wicket-keeper batsman.

Shortcomings:

Maxwell didn’t perform at his best in IPL 2020 when he was playing for Punjab. But we saw him performing nicely in ODIs. This year RCB has endorsed 14.25 crores on Maxwell and expects him to show some magic in the game. Chahal is RCB’s most preferred bowler but is a negative mindset because of England’s Batsman in T20s and OD Is. Saini and spiral are likely to trickle few runs in this format. This team does not keep any robust and compatible Indian batsman other than Kohli and Devdutt.

Possible top playing XI from RCB in IPL 2021:

Batsmen:

Devdutt Padikkal was the top scorer for RCB last year and had 473 runs in 15 innings. He concealed his partner with his performance. Mohammed Azharuddin scored a century just in 37 balls also made 137 runs in 54 balls at Mushtaq Trophy and made RCB bid for him in the auction. Captain Virat Kohli has underperformed last year and made 466 runs in 15 innings. It criticized him for taking much time in the middle and keeping all burdens on AB de Villiers. We will see AB de Villiers entering the field at fourth position and will work as anchor and finisher both. He scored 454 last season.

Bowlers:

Siraj had a brilliant play in IPL 2020 and took 11 wickets in 9 outings and also has performed in high spirits in test cricket. But Navdeep Saini just got 6 wickets in 13 outings and had a poor season last year. Yuzendra Chahal is the go-to bowler for RCB, and he is the reason for the team to be at the top of the table. He took 21 wickets in 15 matches. Kyle Jamieson got into demand after his debut against India. They settled him in all forms of cricket from the international side.

However, he faces some disappointment after playing against Australia.

All-rounders:

Glen Maxwell enters fifth in the pitch, decreasing the burden from the shoulders of AB de Villiers. Maxwell provides RCB with a factor that it lacked for years. Dan Christian has his grip on both bat and ball and can make the ball go out of the stadium. Washington Sundar is extraordinary with the new ball in T20 and can be a good batsman. Also, he had a poor season last year with poor balling and gaining just 8 wickets in 15 outings.

RCB prediction:

RCB needs to be consistent and play at its best to enter the elite four and make the trophy theirs.

Stay tuned for the latest update on IPL 2021.
