The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a good showing in IPL 2020, clearing the first hurdle of qualifying for the playoffs. The David Warner-led side’s hope of winning their second title came crashing down in the second qualifier when Delhi Capitals defeated them.

The Hyderabad-based franchise will fill the IPL 2021 and present itself as a candidate for the desirable title. On April 11, SRH will start their IPL 2021 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders, and the franchise will hope to get off to a winning start.

In IPL 2020, SRH got off to a good start, but by the middle of the season, Warner and his band have lost their way, and they could not finish in the top two teams. Coach Tom Moody would like to see a better performance in this season. In the IPL 2021, SRH made a good buy by bringing in India batsman Kedar Jadhav and England opener Jason Roy to replace Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s IPL will be held behind closed doors at neutral venues, and Warner and his team will strive to keep the coveted title.

Strength:

Sunrisers Hyderabad seems to be a well-balanced team this season, with match-winners including captain David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Rashid Khan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

SRH has one of the most feared opening combinations in the tournament in Warner and Bairstow. Bairstow’s performance in the recently concluded limited-overs series between India and England must have put a smile on the franchise’s face. Bairstow’s clean hits could serve as a warning to opposing bowlers about the treatment they would receive in the IPL.

When Warner dons the SRH uniform, he transforms into a different person, and the Southpaw enjoys putting up runs on Indian pitches. They set the Australian Swashbuckler to put on a show unlike any other. As a New Zealand captain, Kane Williamson was a force to be reckoned with in the IPL, demonstrating why he is one of the best in the business.

SRH’s bowling attack appears to be equally dangerous, as Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been their biggest match-winners. This year, the franchise added another Afghan star spinner in Mujeeb-ur-Rahman, who could add variety to their bowling attack.

T Natarajan, the ‘Yorker king,’ earned his India call-up after a franchise’s stellar performance. The left-arm pacer will add to the SRH pace battery, which already includes Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul, and Basil Thampi.

Weakness:

A department in the SRH that is lagging lacks a finisher in its ranks. The captain and coach must decide who will be the team’s finisher this time.

You’ve brought in Kedar Jadhav for this season, and you’re hoping he can do the job, but the Maharashtra batsman has had little experience. Vijay Shankar, India’s all-rounder, has yet to show his ability in the medium order and perform this finished role.

The team which is of medium order in IPL 2020, failed to click regularly, which was a significant setback. The inexperienced middle-order cost more money in the previous edition and the team couldn’t afford to make the same mistake this time.

Squad:

David Warner, Kane Williamson, Virat Singh, Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Wriddhiman Saha, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Sreevats Goswami, Vijay Shankar, Mohammad Nabi, Kedar Jadhav, J. Suchit, Jason Holder, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, T. Natarajan, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul, Basil Thampi, Shahbaz Nadeem, Mujeeb your Rahman.

Best XI:

Sunrisers Hyderabad will begin the tournament with the following playing XI: David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstow (week), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Kedar Jadhav, Abhishek Sharma / Abdul Samad / Shahbaz Nadeem, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Vijay Shankar, T. Natarajan, Sandeep Sharma.

Prediction:

As per Sunrisers Hyderabad Prediction, it seems to be a well-balanced team, and based on their previous results in Indian conditions; they will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with in IPL 2021. With the diversity and consistency in their ranks, they should be able to return to the playoffs. If David Warner has a fantastic season with the bat, SRH would be unstoppable.
