VIVO X51 5G scores 114 and 81 in DXOMARK’s Rear and Front Camera Testing respectively

VIVO X51 5G scores

Smartphone Brand Vivo launched its flagship mobile, X51 5G last year on 21st October in Europe. In recent times, Vivo has been focusing on high-mid range and flagship smartphones like V20, V20 Pro 5G. With the X51 5G, the company looks to compete with One Plus and Apple who are the leading brands in flagship segments. Recently this flagship smartphone was tested by DXOMARK to evaluate its overall performance in terms of display and much to the surprise of most of the people, this Vivo Smartphone scored at par with I phone 12 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra , thanks to its 6.56 inches display with 1080X376 pixels. Now the same testing company have published the results of X51 5G in terms of its performance of both selfie and rear camera.

Huawei smartphones leads the list in DXOMARK’s Camera Testing

As per the testing by DXOMARK, this flagship smartphone manages to fetch a score of 114 in rear camera tests and 81 points in selfie camera test. Though this result is not breathtaking by any means as the top performers in this category have scored 139 points and 104 points respectively. In terms of Rear Camera, Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ leads the ranking while for selfie performance another smartphone by Huawei, Mate Pro 40 scored the most as per DXOMARK testing. However as per the results of this Vivo Smartphone, it does manages to perform decently with quad rear camera set up with multiple specifications like good exposure, autofocus and depth sensing which looks quite brilliant at this price point. However when it comes to video recording, this device performs very well with well controlled noise levels. In the testing, it is seen that using Telephoto lens, the device manages to produce better long range shots.

X51 cameras’ performance is decent but not brilliant in any aspect

Talking about the selfie performance which has been the center of attraction in most Vivo Smartphones, X51 manages to shoot images with good colors and offers a wider dynamic range. The front camera also offers good exposure in both photo and video, autofocus and white balance. However it has some cons too both in rear as well as front camera. Limited dynamic range, autofocus instability and noise makes it rear camera performance poor. In selfie department too, the images lacked stabilisation, depth estimation. Overall we can say that the camera performance on this smartphone is decent but at the same time it could have been better.
