James Charles defends Friend Charli D’Amelio

A beauty tip youtuber James Charles thinks that the internet was too trigger happy in canceling TikTok star Charli D’Amelio. Charli, who was in attendance at the  viral video “Dinner at the D’Amelios” which was posted no YouTube, took to social media to defend the 16 year old as she hemorrhaged by the followers due to some perceived as offensive remarks and an overall snotty attitude. By Thursday night the TikTok’s most popular star was sobbing over the loss of 1 million followers and pondering quitting the platform in an Instagram Live video. Her buddy Charles was not having it.

He vented on Twitter that this Charli was not in the situation of sitting right with him. There are 100 Million followers in one year and all expect her to know how to be a perfect in the role model. Death threats because she is a picky eater and made a joke about a milestone. She is 30+ year olds dragging someone half their age, feels familiar. Charli at the age of 21 she is a prominent her makeup artist and vlogger with a significant following of his own. He has nearly 23.8 million subscribers on YouTube and 29 million followers on TikTok and along with that she has 7.2 million followers on Twitter. He was the first male ambassador for Cover Girl, but has come under fire for controversies of his own in the past over online feuds with fellow social media stars with a shady projects and problematic comments about Ebola and Africa.

Both Charli who was a boasts in TikTok and also have a largest following ever and his sister Dixie D’Amelio are facing fan backlash for their actions during the video with personal chef Aaron May. Dixie at the age of 19 spat out and vomited the food prepared by May while Charli asked for Dinosaur Chicken nuggets. Dixie said that she threw up that and said that it was not good. The 19 year old girl has 43.8 million followers on her TikTok account. Charli was also criticized for sounding ungrateful for not hitting the 100 million follower threshold fast enough, after gaining hundreds and thousands of followers each day leading up to the drama. This leads for a lot of conversations and Dixie added a video of 15 secong clip. Reps for Charli declined to the Post’s and request for comment about the online controversy.
