Call me by your Name actor recently had a pep talk with Selena while he was waiting in line to cast his vote in New York City. In the live video shown, Timothee was waiting in line to vote( the first day in-person voting) at Madison Square Garden in New York City while he talked to Selena Gomez, who happened to be laying down on her mattress.
On 24th October 2020, the Instagram live video went like, Chalamet mumbled something, implying to President Donald Trump’s kick out from White House, “I hope this guy loses. oh, man. I think in New York we are safe, victory-wise,” to which Gomez reacted, “My stomach kinda hurts because I’m nervous.” Chalamet’s fondness for Gomez was apparent specifically when it showed up to Selena’s political activism. ‘I know it goes without saying but I don’t mean it because I’m younger than you, but I am really proud of you. You have been all over this stuff(voting) I know it’s making a difference.’ he said, quoting Gomez’s responsibility towards getting out the vote. For Chalamet’s comment, Selena was noted to be blushing and thereby replied “That’s really sweet, thank you”. The live video continued by Chalamet conversing with Selena, “Right now, I’m voting at my early voting station in New York at Madison Square Garden, which feels extremely metaphoric because I have seen several great things happen here,” Meanwhile, he encouraged Selena in a cute way “I feel like you’re really on the curve and it’s really important. I am inspired.” Timothée later declared openly “Selena for President, 2024,” The 10 minutes live included Timothée introducing some of his “buddies inline ” to Selena, by expressing “It’s moving to see this many people showing up. It feels like people are motivated and everyone’s notifying young people to vote.”
