Richard Lamar also is known as Silentó or Prince Silentó, are a singer and rapper. Silentó, 22 was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, the U.S. on 22nd January 1998. He also goes by the name, Ricky” Hawk. He debuted with his single, “Watch Me Whip/Nae Nae”, which was released 5 years ago. He has gained huge fame with this single. “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” has gained 1.7 billion views and 9.1 million likes on YouTube. It reached number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became a trend. After this Lamar went into hiatus and later in August of 2018, he released his first album “Fresh Outta High School”, which was followed by Fresh Outta High School Part 2 released on November 29, 2018. Besides, the world acknowledgment for his work, there have been some controversies too. This year, on the 28th of August Silentó, was arrested due to a domestic dispute. He was charged for hurting his cohabitant/girlfriend. After being released he again caused trouble. He trespassed someone’s property to look for his girlfriend and was wielding a hatchet. This incident happened in Valley Village, Los Angeles. Soon Silentó got arrested for causing unrest. Now recently, on the 23rd of October to be precise, Silentó was caught for speeding. He was charged with reckless and dangerous driving. At 3 a.m. he was driving at the speed of 143 mph (230 kph) on Interstate 85, as per authorities. He was unable to maintain driving within his lane and had issues in properly stopping the vehicle (a white BMW). According to the officer who was on duty, Silentó wasn’t sorry and kept saying that he wasn’t speeding. Later, something changed with Silentó and he admitted to speeding. He put the paparazzi as a reason for his careless act.
