Carole Baskin is an American big cat rights activist, film actress, and CEO of Big Cat Rescue. She earned her limelight after her debut in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King and show Dancing With The Stars. At the same time, she also attained criticisms and conspiracy theories related to her second husband’s disappearance. Recently, the celebrity comes out bisexual in October 2020.
Baskin about her current sexuality?
During the interview with PinkNews, Baskin came out that she is always considered herself to be bisexual and expressed “Even though, I have never had a wife, I could just as easily have a wife as a husband. I just don’t see us as different genders or different colors or different things.”
She also specified how she got to know about her sexuality when she had a psychologist friend who was indulged in the LGBTQ community at the peak of the AIDS crisis back in the 1980s, saying that “I became very close to people in that community back then.”
She continued by speaking about her upbringing, “I was always very male-oriented in the things I did. Probably I was born into the wrong body. I never had any motherly instincts or anything.”
She also added that she was a tomboy while growing up.‘I never played with dolls and so I thought that there was something off with me, that I am unable to put my finger on.’
The disappearance of Baskin’s husband is still uncertain since 1997.
After her second husband, Don Lewis’s disappearance, she tied the knot with Howard Baskin in 2004. And lately, she conveyed that she is a bisexual in October 2020.
When Baskin was asked about her costar in Tiger King, Joe Exotic(a homosexual), she replied, “I think he is an embarrassment to the human community. It doesn’t matter what your sexuality is, this man is just a deviant in the way that he treated human as well as animal life.” And concluded that Exotic Joe is not a good ambassador for the LGBT+ community.
