With 24 runs that were needed off for 11 balls for the SRH to win, CSK bowler Shardul Thakur was bowling to SRH’s Rashid Khan. He had just bowled a full ball away from the batsman, and it was just past the tramline, and Paul Reiffel, the umpire, declared it ‘wide.’ Similar was the following ball.

The Australian umpire seemed to be stretching out his arms this time again to declare another wide one, but he looked to CSK skipper MS Dhoni, who angrily put out his arms and glared at the umpire. Paul Reiffel ‘s arms were pulled back the next moment, and the delivery was declared to be justifiable.

David Warner’s reaction  said it all

In the moments after, there was a little bit of uncertainty, but the game continued, with CSK getting their much-required triumph. Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner was recorded by the TV cameras reacting angrily to the umpire’s call. Eventually, in their 20 overs, SRH ended at 147/8 and CSK emerged winners by 20 runs. But fans of cricket and former players have expressed their disappointment with what happened. Some fans even went as far as saying the umpire was bullied by MS Dhoni

Reactions by Fans stormed Social Media

It seems the stars of Ms. Doni are in Anguish these days. Abruptly situations do occur that do create a mess for Dhoni so far. ‘So-called legend bullying umpire like always. Ban this franchise they don’t deserve to play at all forever admittedly, ‘was a reaction on Twitter by a fan.

‘That wasn’t MS Dhoni cricket, you can’t put pressure on the umpire like that and his decision should also have gone with the umpire. Dhoni is no bigger than a cricket match. He came from the outside last year to force the umpire not to give it a no-ball, now forced not to give it a wide ‘, was another fan’s angry reaction.
