2 Suspects are charged with murder for shooting two deputies as stated by Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. The two deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division were in the parking lot of True Timber Outdoors at around 4:15 a.m. Sunday. It is situated on 150 Accurate Way in Inman. During a bond hearing, Lawyer Barry Barnette stated that the two deputies were completing the paperwork.
The statement further stated that the deputies heard a number of gunshots without any prior warning. Along with that, they saw silent flashes coming from the neighboring direction of Interstate 26 East.
How the Incident Happened
The deputies heard more gunshots when they moved from their position. Suddenly someone started shooting at them. After alerting about the shooting, an answering deputy officer saw a green Chevrolet Camaro. The car drove as quickly as possible on I-26 East away from the place where the deputies were.
One deputy officer followed the shooters to the next stop. After that, he arrested Akymzee Holbert and Tarus Mallory. A black magazine for a Glock, as well as two Glock guns, were found at the Chevrolet Camaro car, said the lawyer Barry Barnette.
The Deputies Charged the 2 Suspects
The deputies charged Holbert, 22, and Mallory, 23 with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Mallory was also called upon on a ticket for driving under suspension. On Sunday night both the deputies spoke in front of the judge about the incident during the bond hearing.

According to Deputy Jonathan Payne, they were sitting in the parking lot of True Timber Outdoors when shots started coming their way. He further said that they had no involvement with those two gentlemen and without any warning, they were getting shot at.
What the Judge Decided
Akymzee Holbert, the accused, said that they were at the wrong place at the wrong time. They didn’t mean to cause any harm to anyone including the deputies. They couldn’t guess how the misunderstanding happened that they Were shooting the officers since the road was empty at that time.
The suspect further appealed to the judge that they don’t get into any trouble. This is their first time. They even said that they asked the deputies for forgiveness. Although, both the suspects were denied bond.
