Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) star Conor McGregor was arrested in Corsica, France, on Thursday. Allegedly, he was reported for attempted sexual assault and indecent exposure. Reportedly, he was released on Saturday without being charged. The incident took place in a bar in Corsica. However, the person who reported him is unknown. Moreover, the accused has denied all allegations against him.

As per the Agence-France Presse (AFP), the report that was filed stated,
Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony McGregor was the subject of a hearing by the gendarmerie services.
Through his manager and spokesperson, McGregor denied all of the allegations posed against him. His legal spokesperson Karen Kessler admitted that he had been interviewed and released. On the same, his agent Audie Attar declared loud and clear that Conor McGregor won’t be a target for those seeking to score a headline or a huge sum.
His previous misconducts
Supposedly, Conor McGregor has had quite a history with the law. A few years ago, he was arrested and prosecuted for throwing a steel dolly through a UFC bus window. He was also arrested for taking a man’s mobile phone at a Miami hotel in 2019.
Moreover, in the second incident in 2019, McGregor was charged yet again. Allegedly, he had punched an elderly man for no reason in a bar in Dublin. Later, he pleaded guilty and reached a settlement accordingly.

Reportedly, McGregor has spent several weeks in Corsica preparing for a charity event. Last month, he also took in the start of the Tour de France alongside the Princess and Prince Albert II. Further, his fiancee Dee Devlin joined him on the trip as well. He proposed to her over the summer. The couple shares 2 children together.
McGregor has not fought since he beat Donald Cerrone within 40 seconds back in January. Additionally, he was supposed to participate in three fights this year. Unfortunately, they got canceled due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic. Further, the star retired in June for the third time in 4 years.
