The Voice’ Season 19 Returns, the first promotional video of the NBC singing competition series has just released. Which hits the floor in fall this year, shows that the coaches and the contestants are socially distanced in it’s the video! Through the video, fans get a glimpse of how the coaches and contestants have been maintaining social distance in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Creativity Shown By Season 19 Judges

Instead of being side by side, the Voice coaches’ famous red chairs have been zoned out with a distance of eight feet between each of them. The coaches have also had to become creative. They are finding new methods to welcome contestants to their teams instead of hugs or handshakes!

For instance, Stefani, a Voice coach, tried to welcome one artist to her team. During the blind auditions, she threw a t-shirt at a contestant with a t-shirt cannon. When the cannon proved to be unsuccessful, Stefani the Voice coach, took her boyfriend Shelton’s advice. She placed the t-shirt on a long pole with a glove at the end to give it to her new team member. Coach Stefani, returned this season as a coach after taking last season off from the show because of her Las Vegas residency.

The Voice Season 18 Went Virtual

The Voice went virtual when the coronavirus was declared a pandemic earlier this year. The season 18 coaches and contestants filmed right from their respective homes! Season 18 host Carson Daly was able to do some segments on an empty soundstage but filmed from home as well. Shelton’s artist Todd Tilghman claimed The Voice season 18 trophy last season.

What the Voice Coaches did in the Pandemic

Season 19 coaches, Stefani, Shelton along with the other the coaches of the Voice season 19, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend have been very busy throughout this pandemic! Most of them appeared in various shows. Stefani appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! While Dua Lipa guest hosted. On that show, she talked about being quarantined with Shelton, with whom she also released the new song “Happy Anywhere” with this summer!
In contrast to them, Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock back in June.
