The Police Chief U. Reneé Hall of Dallas police made a brawny statement on Tuesday that she has a growing intention in her mind to resign from the post she had held for the last three years. This announcement came as a massive shock to each and every individual and people are also keen to know the major reason behind this decision.

An unexpected resignation

Hall, who holds the title of the first female police chief of Dallas, a city in Texas. The lady officer made a shocking announcement on Tuesday regarding her resignation. She expressed her strong intentions to resign from a post she has held for the last three years. The resignation will be given at the end of this year 2020. Initially, this announcement came as a quick shock but later the choices of the lady were given the adequate preference.

Extension of working days

The fist plan regarding the resignation of the officer was to leave the post in early November. But after having a conversation with the City Manager T.C Broadnax, Hall agreed to extend her working days till the end of this year. Ultimately, a resignation will be made by her when this year will terminate. The lady cop will bid adieu to the post and her colleagues at the year’s end.

A compassionate officer

Chief Hall’s colleagues have appreciated the effort and compassion of the officer. She has provided consistency, passion, and determination towards her work in abundance. City manager Broadnax applauded Hall’s constant efforts with a statement in which he said ” She has implemented a host of reforms that will assist our department as we move forward. ” One of the most prominent cases of Chief Hall’s tenure was the murder conviction of a former Dallas police officer named Amber Guyger.

A statement from the lady herself

A letter was written by the female officer regarding her upcoming unanticipated resignation. In the letter, she wrote ” These past three years have been saturated with a series of unimaginable events that individually and collectively have never happened in Dallas. ” She further wrote that ” I am proud that this department has not only coped with an unthinkable series of events, but we have also managed to cope up with an unthinkable series of events, but we have also managed to implement critical reforms that were clearly needed for the Dallas Police Department to meet our 21st-century policing goals”. However, the primary reason for the resignation was not revealed by the reputed lady officer.
