Detroit Tigers continues its winning spree, sixth in a row

Detroit Tigers Sixth Consecutive Wins At The Cost Of JaCoby Jones’ Leaving with Fractured Hand.

Detroit center fielder JaCoby, suffered from a season-ending injury on Tuesday night in the eight innings of the game when Detroit Tigers won over the Milwaukee Brewers with a 12-1 box score. The incident took place when Phil Bickford, a right-handed major league debutante in the game, plunked over JaCoby’s hand with a pitch. In a short period after that incident, it was announced by the Tigers’ that a left-hand injury has been suffered by Jacoby. It is felt unanimously that Jacoby’s return to the game this year is quite impossible.

Jones who was excitedly talking about playing the game in a meaningful way before Tuesday, also ended his 2019 season with a similar injury on the left wrist while batting in 108 plate appearances with a score of.268/.333/.515. Handling an important defensive position as well Jones is one of the most productive hitters of the team; he has been an essential player to Detroit’s surprising pertinence in 2020.

Unfortunately, we have to wait a little more time for his energetic return.

As far as JaCoby Jones’s team is concerned Detroit Tigers have gained their score above .500 in their game on Tuesday. They have also won against Cubs and Twins in five out of six back-to-back games. They began the season with 9-5 and gave high hopes that Tigers would be amazing competitors in 2020 given the expanded playoff field and shortened regular season. However, with consecutive five games below .500 on August 24, they met with their season’s worst games. Hopefully, this sudden blaze will help them recover from their 114 loss campaigns of the past year and make the postseason worthwhile since their 2014 win.

Although Detroit Tigers could still hope for a significant place in the game, the loss of Jacoby is a significant backward push to the team. Moreover, just before Monday’s trade deadline, they traded veteran outfielder Cameron Maybin to the Cubs, the depth Maybin would have provided is extremely at the moment. Earlier this season, the Tigers also lost power-hitting first baseman C.J. Cron to season-ending knee surgery.
