Fortnite x Marvel – The most awaited crossover is finally here!

Fortnite is an online video game is which is very popular among the youth. One can either play with their own squad or go solo. This game is completely action-packed where 100 players fight against each other and the last player standing wins the title of “Victory Royale”.

“Nexus War”, which is the name of the new update, allows players who purchase the seasonal battle pass to access characters like Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Groot, She-Hulk, Storm, Mystique and even Thor. The developer also hinted at one of the X-men members, particularly Wolverine, being spotted in the game. This update is certainly a treat for all Fortnite and Marvel lovers!

The developers “Epic” announced this update by introducing an in-game comic book which portrays the story. The collaboration is spoken about in complete detail. It is explained how Thor and Galactus were allured towards the island which made Thor muster his companions to help him in defeating the planet-eating villain. “To be continued in season 4” was displayed towards the end of the comic book.

Previously, Fortnite has also had multiple crossovers with equally famous TV shows and movie series like Stranger Things, Star Wars, DC, Batman and even the Avengers. It also included crossovers with musicians like Marshmallow and Major Lazer. Another famous crossover was with American Football where different skin types for each one of the 32 NFL teams were introduced.

Unfortunately, due to the on-going crisis between Fortnite and Apple, and Fortnite and Google over the app fees, players who use Apple devices – which include the iPhone, iPad, and Mac laptops and PCs will not be able to access the new season. This makes the Marvel-themed update the first one ever to not be available on all platforms.
