Kuntzman: Cobble Hill 20 Mins Slower?

bpaper

In the most recent Brooklyn Paper Post video “podcast”,  EIC Gersh Kuntzman is seen in front of 3 newsroom clocks.  One for Fort Greene, one for DUMBO and one for Cobble Hill.  For one reason or another,  Cobble Hill is 20 minutes behind the rest of Brooklyn.  Is this due to that lack of sufficient AA battery power for that clock or is something else at play here?  Is this a diss from the Park Slope based NewsCorp staffer?  Only time will tell – we’re waiting for a response from the Murdochians.

Update: Kuntzman responds,  “It’s actually 23 hours and 40 minutes fast.”

Cobble Hill Housewife turned Huffington Post blogger

alex-headThere’s a new blogger in the nabe, Real Housewife Alex McCord. Her first blog entry went up on Huffington Post today, addressing her life’s path as a struggling actress, to a graphic designer, and now a stay-at-home mom as the result of her recent layoff. Looks like we’ll get to follow her on her path; she’ll be posting once a week on the Huffington Post.

We hope you will join us Friday, March 20th at 11:30 AM for this important rally to stop the City from wasting $1.2B of our taxpayer money on jails we don’t need. Continue Reading →

Filming on Court Street?

From a Cobble Hill tipster:

Out my Cobble Hill window I can see the twirling movie lights (you know, the 4 that go round and round in a set pattern and light up the sky) in the south, presumably somewhere down Court St.?  Any idea what it is?

76th Precinct Crime Blotter
Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens

There was quite the crime at a Fourth Place apartment building this week — a perp ransacked four apartments and tried to burgle two others, and still escaped after the escapade. There were also two lesser — but no less important — crimes in the area this week. Check back in Tuesday afternoon for updates from Boerum Hill.
