Worst. Preschool. Ever.

The NY Daily News reports today on the drama at The Brooklyn Children’s Academy Preschool. It’s been nothing but trouble since the operation moved out of Brooklyn Heights and into 25 Dean Street:

NY Daily News: Parents Rip Unsafe Preschool: A Boreum Hill preschool has been closed down by the city for unsafe conditions – and parents and teachers have been left with the troubles.

The Brooklyn Children’s Academy Preschool owes them more than $50,000, they said.

Parents and teachers also are worried the school’s executive director, Andy Lewis, won’t face any consequences.

“Six months from now, he’ll say he can do it right this time,” said parent Hemalee Patel. “There’s a desperate need for child care in this area of Brooklyn. He can really do this again.”

Just days after moving to 25 Dean St. from Brooklyn Heights, the school was closed down in November by the city Health Department for unsafe conditions.

Have any dealings with the school? Post below.

Last week the Cobble Hill Association voted to fight the developer’s plans because the new townhouses wouldn’t have the 35- to 50-foot rear yards usually found behind the historic district’s 19th century townhouses, an absence that the group feels will negatively effect other houses on the block.
