LICH Community Forum This Evening

There will be a “Community Forum” concerning the proposed closure and sale of Long Island College Hospital this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Kane Street Synagogue, 236 Kane Street (between Tompkins Place and Court Street).

    LICH is open for Care… LICH has served the community for over 150 years. It is an Institution, our hospital. LICH is facing the threat of closure today. Our children are born here. The hospital has an outstanding neurosurgery unit, neonatal unit, psychiatric emergency care and psychiatric unit, dialysis center, medical/surgical units and more. I am one of the nurses that attended your meeting this week. A very spirited meeting. Your response was overwhelming. I want you to know that we received the same response this thursday when the community came together and played a role regarding the recent events . We heard from local families, community residents , our elected representatives, doctors, nurses and members of the staff.
