Bareburger Coming To 145 Court Street In Cobble Hill

Organic meat eatery Bareburger is preparing to descend upon Cobble Hill. The burgeoning burger chain has several locations scattered throughout Manhattan and Queens and one in Park Slope. They have now filed for a liquor license and will be opening at 145 Court Street, according to Grub Street. Bareburger replaces Middle Eastern eatery Yemen Cuisine in the space.

Gothamist adds that Bareburger offers make-your-own burger options featuring organic, grass-fed and free-range meat, which is only blocks away from Mooburger, also on Court Street… along with similar “Burger” on Smith Street. Kind of makes you pine for a good ole robust grain-fed beef-burger and fries from Five Guys… which shuttered last year in Cobble Hill.

I’m a bit sad about this actually. I’ve known that Bareburger was coming to Cobble Hill for some time — I spoke with the owner about this over a year ago. But, Yemen Cuisine was such a great hole in the wall joint with cheap, fresh food. A bit intimidating for some because, but I really liked it.

Isn’t the Yemen Cuisine restaurant staying in business? The location on the corner of Pacific and Court (where the construction has been going on) was an old laundromat and Middle Eastern clothing/travel store. Green-awninged Yemen Cuisine appears to be still going strong.

Oh, great. Just what we need: another burger joint.
