Lost City covers Carroll Gardens

mp

Lost City covers Carroll Gardens as part of its series of neighborhood guides “designed to lead those inclined to revel in classic Old New York to those places of authenticity and historical value that still exist.” It has some pretty interesting information on some neighborhood establishments. For instance, Joe’s Superette on Smith (near Carroll) has a hidden treasure inside: prosciutto balls. Who’da thunk it?

they are delicious. i like the mini rice balls better myself. you can also get them made but not fried yet so that you can cook them at home. just don’t go in there close to christmas or the superbowl expecting to get any unless you placed an order ahead of time. their sandwiches are also pretty damn good.
