We received a tip that Pacifico will soon take on a new owner and name. The manager of the past two years, Richard Kraus, will take ownership from Alan Harding, but the menu and atmosphere will remain the same according to an attendee at last night’s CB2 committee meeting.
Harding’s (reportedly) closing Patois and selling Pacifico… is the restless pioneer taking a break from Cobble Hill?

Oh, how I miss Alan Hardin and Cookin in Brooklyn. Things are so fluid, restaurants gone, marriage gone and I only find it out after a “rigid” detective like search. I then put 2 and 2 together to find out whuz happening. Darn, he was a joy to watch and quite imaginative in the kitchen. Life goes on; I guess.

So sorry to hear that his businesses closed. Did enjoy his tv cooking show-Cookin in Bklyn. It showed him in his kitchen and out by Red Hook park- on Smith Street, when it was the Bastille Day. Met him once, in Eckherds- on Smith and President Street. Thought it was him, so i hummed and sang, Cookin in Brooklyn. He turned and smiled. I said, knew it was you.
Sorry, that he had to close his businesses.
