Christopher Jackson, Executive Chef and owner of Ted and Honey, will be a competitor on the new Food Network show Chopped later this month. According to its website, Chopped “challenges four up-and-coming chefs to turn a selection of everyday ingredients into an extraordinary three-course meal. After each course, a contestant gets ‘chopped’ until the last man or woman left standing claims victory.” The series will be hosted by none other than former Queer Guy Ted Allen. (Is it just me, or does it seem like the Food Network can’t figure out just what to do with this guy? They’ve featured him on Iron Chef America, given him his own Bill Nye-like food detective show, and now this.) Chef Jackson’s episode will feature tofu, blueberries, and oysters as its “everyday” ingredients. I’m sure he’ll make Cobble Hill proud!

Maybe he ought to “chop” some of his prices at his store, which are kind of high.
