When they’re not changing dates on spoiled meat, our local supermarket has decided to have fun with their label maker. Presenting “octopus” – or imitation crab, squid, shrimp, mussels, etc. Barf.

That place is disgusting. I never buy anything that isn’t packaged there. It’s fine for packaged goods, household cleaning supplies, etc. But I’d never buy a vegetable, fruit or meat from that place.
Their shelves have not been as well stocked lately. I go to the Met Foods on Henry Street when I can.
I hate this place. Their shelf layouts are arranged by deranged dyslexics, they have five different cases for cheese all around the store, and they are constantly moving products from one place to another. Every visit is confusing and exasperating.
Let’s not associate dyslexia with derangement. Let’s associate carelessness with a terrible shopping experience.
Well while we are at it, let’s take a look at the Met at 197 Smith. Prices are not marked on a lot of merchandise. Ice cream just the specials, Even no prices on shelf positions. No reader for the consumer use. All of this is illegel. The management does not understand English if you want to complain. Try to buy a single green pepper, a cucumber. All of us are stuck with 2nd rate supermarkets in this area.
I’ve called 311 about spoiled meat and veg being sold along with the “fresh”, the unpriced items, items consistently ringing up over their marked price (when they are marked) at Smith Met over and over and nothing changes.
i just can’t believe that anyone actually shops there
Can’t you call The Department of Health on them?
