Joined CHA back in July, well I am assuming I joined b/c they cashed my check, but I haven’t received anything from them at all… Not even a “thanks for joining!”. I even said I would like to help volunteer and still no one contacted me. Hhhmmmm….. disappointing and a waste of $$ so far.

I think it’s just a matter of the CHA not being nearly as involved as other neighborhood associations. Like you, I expected some confirmation… then about 6 months after paying my initial dues and checking the same boxes, I was added to a mailing list — which usually consisted of nothing more than alternate side parking memos.
Although I was out of town and missed the election of the new Association President Jeff Strabone, it seems that he’s trying to make the organization more open and active. He’s even blogging! (http://cobblehillassociation.blogspot.com/)
